Clean Air Power :: Dual-FuelTM technologies
Combining diesel and naturalgas
for clear cost efficiency

Coalescing Filtration Technology

Both Clean Air Power's high pressure coalescing filter and low pressure coalescing filter features a high flow rating and large holding capacity for the undesired impurities normally found in fuel. It provides the necessary protection needed for fuel injectors and other precision components within the gaseous fuel systems.

CAPs coalescing filter has removal efficiency greater than 99.97 % in the .3 to .6 micron particles range. The coalescing filter element is made of .01-micron microglass fibers constructed in a tubular form. During operation, fuel is forced through the coalescing media from the inside of the cartridge through the tubular wall to the outside, where the large droplets fall to the bottom of the housing. Oily water emulsion accumulates in the sump located in the bottom of the housing until drained. The molded polyurethane end seals of the element provide excellent sealing at both ends.  Vapor-phase carryover oil that cannot be removed by any coalescing filter should be eliminated at the gas fueling station.

High Pressure Coalescing Filter:

  • The housing is made of high tensile strength aluminum for pressurized gas up to 3,600 psig with a safety factor of 4:1
  • The element replacement kit for the filter (Part No. 700005) consists of the filter element, the housing O-ring and the drain plug O-ring
  • Various inlet and outlet SAE fittings are available upon request
  • The high pressure coalescing filter complies with the ECE R110 standard

Low Pressure Coalescing Filter:

  • The housing is made of high tensile strength aluminum for pressurized gas up to 500 psig with a safety factor of 4:1
  • The element replacement kit for the filter (Part No. 700060) consists of the filter element, the housing O-ring and the drain plug O-ring
  • Various inlet and outlet SAE fittings are available upon request
  • The low pressure coalescing filter is certified to the ECE R110 Regulation
